Ultrasonic Testing (UT) uses high-frequency sound waves to perform volumetric inspections of materials. Unlike surface-level tests, UT allows us to “see” inside the weld or pipe wall to detect hidden flaws or measure thinning caused by corrosion.

A transducer sends ultrasound waves into the material. Our inspectors interpret the returning “echoes” on a digital screen, accurately mapping the location and size of internal defects like slag inclusions, porosity, or lack of fusion.
